About Us

Founded by 7 undergraduate college students and a professional engineer, SMILYO EDUCATIONAL CHARITABLE SOCIETY is a step towards bringing a change in the Educational sector of India.

From its humble beginning in Feb 2011 as a website to provide free of cost educational resources ranging from notes, e-books, recent announcements, articles, poems etc for school & college students, SMILYO has come a long way with the support of its 43000+ strong members and a dedicated team comprising mostly of dynamic students wanting to bring about the change they envision for the society.

Today, Smilyo functions as a charitable society with its mission to SERVING EDUCATION WITH A SMILE. It gives an equal opportunity and access to the not-so-privileged by making available educational resources for primary, secondary and higher education. The dedicated operational team at smilyo continuously strives to include more courses of study in its gambit which is supported by the Quality control team that keeps a check on the quality of material uploaded. At Smilyo, it is our whole hearted Endeavour to ensure quality of notes uploaded. Not only do we make education accessible, we also make it fun and interactive through a doubt solving and discussion forum .

Smilyo not only boasts of being a first of its kind not-for-profit educational society that caters to the educational needs of students from all strata’s of society but also is a pioneer in doing it the ECOLOGICAL WAY!

At Smilyo, we love creativity and food-for-thought. Our articles,poems & stories section helps students express feelings, share myriad stories and anecdotes and gives recognition to the creative genius lying within them.

We, at SMILYO, believe that we have only climbed the first step towards our mission. Our future plans are  elaborate and laid out in front of us which includes provisioning of a live career help section, launching various SES projects aimed at promoting computer education, adult literacy, vocational training etc for several ignored sections of the society and promoting social awareness on several issues.

As Robert Frost rightly put it

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.”

 

We intend to continue our initiative and explore new possibilities. For us, sky is the limit.
